Every rope set is cut, singed and oiled by hand after your order arrives. Sets ship within 3–5 working days.
As a consumer you have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. The details and the model withdrawal form are set out in our Cancellation & Booking Policy. If you handle the ropes beyond what is necessary to check their nature and characteristics, we may charge for the resulting loss in value.

Our ropes are made from untreated natural jute and finished by hand. Every batch differs: colour, thickness and surface vary from one length to the next, single fibres shed with use, and the rope carries the scent of the oil it was treated with. Over time the material darkens, softens and loses fibre. These are the properties of a natural product and are agreed as its condition — they are not defects.
Use and care. Rope is equipment that changes through use. How it ages depends on how you handle, clean and store it, which is beyond our control. Inspect the full length before every use for thinning, cuts, core damage or brittleness, and retire the rope if you find any. We supply our ropes for floor work. We do not certify them for suspension or any other load-bearing use; such use is entirely at your own judgement and risk.
If something is genuinely wrong. If a set reaches you with a material or manufacturing fault, write to info@shibari-studio.com and we will replace it. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
