Shibari is not a technique.
It is a language — one that speaks through tension, touch and presence.
An intimate, professional session for one or two, where rope becomes a way to slow down, feel, and connect. Tied and held throughout by artist Dan Carabas.
The invitation
Are you ready to meet yourself — or each other — through rope, with more presence, intimacy and depth?
Slowness and intensity, paired with sensuality and intimacy. A private space, held entirely for you, where the rope does the rest.
What to expect
Experience Shibari as a conscious, sensual practice. Here we prioritise emotional connection, presence and clear communication over performance. The intensity is yours to choose — from soft and meditative to stronger, more challenging sensation. You'll be seen, supported and guided at a pace that fits your body and intentions. No previous experience required.
Arrival & intentions (20–30 min) — land, tea, a short check-in, boundaries & what you're looking for
The tying (≈ 2 h) — slow, intuitive, body-aware; tailored to you, solo or as a couple
Integration (15–30 min) — a gentle landing, water, a short debrief
You'll leave feeling calmer, more present, and more connected — to yourself or to each other.
Who is this for
Individuals seeking a grounded introduction to Shibari, with a strong focus on emotional and intimate connection
Couples / duos wishing to deepen intimacy, trust and communication through a stronger sense of polarity
Anyone curious about the aesthetic and meditative qualities of conscious rope
No experience needed.
What matters is curiosity and a willingness to be present.
“I consider Shibari a practice of ongoing exploration. When I teach the art of Shibari with intention, the focus is on tying in an intimate, sensual way — fostering deep connection and meaningful communication through the rope. The essence of Shibari lies in the connection between aesthetic expression and emotional, sensual intention.”
The container
A held, consensual space — we move slowly and never push past what feels right. Within that safety, you can let go.
The studio is Japanese-inspired: we tie on original tatami mats. The scent of the room, the sound of rope over the tatami, candlelight and a quiet, intense soundscape let you sink deeper and deeper — fully held by the ropes.
